Introducing the Isis Candy Tomato
The Isis Candy tomato is a cherry tomato variety with round, one-inch fruit that varies in shades and blush patterns of reds to yellows, usually with golden flesh. It typically carries an intriguing “cat’s eye” or star in yellow on the blossom end. The flavor is outstandingly sweet and fruity. Kids adore them.
History of the Isis Candy Tomato
The Isis Candy tomato is a cross between ‘Marizol purple’ and an unknown parent. It was developed and fixed by Joe Bratka of New Jersey, USA. The fruit is large cherry-shaped, golden yellow with pink/red veiling and transparent skin. Flesh firm and crisp, mottled with pink and red. The sweetness is intense with a hint of acidity, hence the name “candy”.
