Beautiful Black Cherry tomatoes look like large, dusky purple-brown grapes; they have that rich flavor that makes black tomatoes famous. Large vines yield very well; unique and delicious. My favorite cherry tomato for salads and wraps!
History of the Black Cherry Tomato
The Black Cherry tomato was introduced in 2003 and was discovered by the late legendary tomato grower, Vincent Sapp of Tomato Growers Supply. Found as a naturally occurring mutation the fruit is large for cherry tomatoes, 1 oz. The taste boasts an exceptionally sweet flavor that is difficult to put down. These tomato plants are prolific.
