Raeanna Tilly is a watercolor artist and author creating vibrant, faith-filled art from the heart of North Carolina. Her mission is to uplift, inspire, and remind others of their worth through beauty, color, and hope. Influenced by her Slavic and Hispanic heritage, Christian faith, and the imaginative worlds of J.R.R. Tolkien, Raeanna’s work weaves together joy, healing, and resilience. She paints from her Piedmont homestead, where the everyday wonders of life, from dragonflies to blooming flowers, inspire her creations.
- Raeanna is also the author of The Happy Little Sunflower: Finding Hope in the Valley, a children’s book designed to bring hope to anyone who has faced adversity, especially women and children in domestic violence shelters. Every brushstroke and page she creates reflects her belief that hope can grow in every heart.

Hello there,
I’m thrilled you’re here At Forests Edge!
Life hasn’t always been easy. My journey from homelessness to finding sanctuary and love has shaped who I am today. Through it all, my faith in Jesus has been my anchor. I truly believe that adversity is a tool the Lord uses to grow us into the people we are meant to be.
I’m a wife, homeschooling mom of five (+1 in heaven), certified herbalist, and lifelong learner. I love painting, writing, gardening, and finding joy in everyday life. Here at At Forest’s Edge, I hope to share my journey and inspire yours, whether through watercolor, words, or lessons from our homestead.
In the forest, I witness the cycles of life, endings make way for beginnings, darkness gives way to light, and hope always takes root. The edge of the forest is a gentle reminder that life is full of transitions, miracles, and beauty.
As J.R.R. Tolkien beautifully put it,
“The world is indeed full of peril, and in it there are many dark places; but still there is much that is fair, and though in all the lands love is now mingled with grief, it grows perhaps the greater.”
